SUMMARY

 

Simon Loopuit has been a successful senior executive with global experience in both the financial services and software industries for the last 15 years. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Vox Generation Limited, a leading developer of speech and multimodal solutions for the enterprise, government and military sectors (see attached).

Work experience

 

 

2000 -              Vox Generation Limited (“VoxGen”)                          London

Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive

VoxGen develops state-of-the-art speech recognition and multimodal software.

Responsibilities include:

·      Development of strategic vision for the company

·      Day-to-day management of the business

·      Leading sales effort for military and intelligence sectors

1994 - 1998     Caspian Holdings SCA (“Caspian”)        London, New York & Hong Kong

Co-Founder, Managing Director and Acting Chief Executive

Co-founded Caspian, an Investment Bank focusing exclusively on the global emerging markets and which became ranked in the Top Ten for many of its target markets with unprecedented speed.

Responsibilities included:

·      Development of business plan and negotiations with equity investors to secure funding totalling US$250m.

·      Overall rollout of the business involving the opening of 16 offices worldwide supported by a state-of-the-art technological and operational structure.

·      Development of certain strategic technologies including the award winning “Caspinet” system (internet based research production and dissemination system).

·      Day-to-day management of the business

1989 - 1993     Baring Securities Ltd (“Baring”)           London, Hong Kong & New York

Director

Supported the diversification of Baring Securities from primarily Japanese securities to the global emerging markets.

Responsibilities included:

·      Transformed risk assessment of various product lines and improved MIS reporting.

·      Managed the opening of a number of offices in Asia and Latin America.

1983 - 1989     Arthur Andersen & Co                                  London, Brussels & Melbourne

Senior manager

Specialised in the financial services and commodities sectors with a particular emphasis on strategic planning, re-structuring and technology. Conducted several reviews for major international securities and commodities groups.

Seconded to Brussels and Melbourne to assist with the development of the firm’s financial services practise in the continental European and Australasian regions
